Key People In The Agency
Jeff Woodward - Past Owner and current Resource
Jeff began his insurance career while attending college. Now some 40 years later he still enjoys working with and helping others. During hurricane Katrina he spent 5 months working in Mississippi as a flood insurance specialist helping people work through the process of rebuilding their lives. Jeff works with several non-profit organizations on insurance matters and has extensive experience insuring contractors, landscapers and manufacturers. Jeff still lends his expertise to the office on a regular basis, but he is currently the Region 10 Insurance Specialist for FEMA. He is working to grow participation in the National Flood Insurance Program by communities, lenders, and homeowners, so future disasters are covered by insurance policies and not National Disaster grants.
John Hesseltine - Producer
An MBA, John also began his insurance career while going to college. He was the underwriting trainer for Safeco Insurance Co, where Jeff was one of his students, before moving on to assume the role of personal lines underwriting branch manager for North Pacific Insurance Co. He served as marketing manager for Grange Insurance Co. and retired from the Air Force Reserve with the rank of Colonel. John has an interest in wines and has published a periodical educating consumers about the wines and wineries of the Northwest.
Ryan Woodward - Owner/Producer
Ryan also began his insurance career while attending college. Do you sense a trend here?
Baseball has been a big part of Ryan's life. He graduated from and played baseball for the University of New Orleans. Many of his teammates and friends were impacted by hurricane Katrina. After returning to the Northwest Ryan coached baseball at the local high school while expanding his knowledge of the insurance business. After 7 years now he has become an important part of our team. And since Jeff has moved on to FEMA, Ryan has bought the business and is now the owner and sole principal in the agency. Also, Ryan and his wife are active in the local Cystic Fibrosis Guild.
